Mixed media leather panels created by Chicago artist Michelle Peterson-Albandoz. Michelle has created individual works and on-site installations nationally. She references her attraction to materials and natural form, built on her childhood spent between Connecticut and Puerto Rico. Most of her work incorporates reclaimed wood, and focuses on the material itself, and the particularities resulting from a cut, burn, or grain. Additionally these two panels rely heavily on leather sourced from a defunct South Side leather working facility.
